Two of our talented members of staff, Suzanne Little (Project Coordinator) and Lucy Muldowney (Project Work Mentor and Counselling Coordinator), have achieved their Level 2 certificate in Information, Advice and Guidance this week!
This qualification, awarded by NCFE, will support them in their roles on our projects New Tomorrow and Foundations for Work, where they support and advise people in the community to improve their living situations whether that be through helping them find suitable training, supporting them back into employment or helping with financial or accommodation issues as well as supporting their mental health. They have studied interaction skills, signposting and referring as well as how to manage information within confidentiality guidelines.
Lucy said, “The course was interesting and well structured, with useful resources. It has helped me to develop a more thorough understanding of the requirements of my current role and how I can support my clients in making informed choices in order to address their needs.”
Well done to them both!
